11 Ways I am Grateful.

We often get so tangled in our everyday lives that we forget to stop and breath. There are many things in my life that I am very thankful for. These are the ones I can think of right now.

1. I am grateful that I woke up this morning. My children and I are alive and well. Many people didn’t get the chance to do that. Many people don't get the chance to do just that.

2. I am healthy, and pain free. I may suffer from seasonal allergies/sinus and it can be quite painful at times, but, at this very moment I am grateful that I am free of pain, and can breath just fine.

3. I am grateful for my obedient children. They have high morals and good manners. Very respectful and outstanding students. They excel in everything they do. Oh how grateful and proud I am of them.

4. I am grateful for my eyes. For they let me see the beauty that surrounds me.

5. I am ever so grateful to have a sound body. It allows me to do for myself.

6. I am grateful for a sound mind. We often take for granted the ability to make simple decisions. I know a lady that can’t make a single decision, without second guessing everything. She suffers from a mental illness called OCD (Obsessive Compulsion Disorder). May God help her. It is wonderful to be able to decide for yourself.

7. I am grateful for my home. In today’s economy, many people are loosing their homes. I am grateful for mine. I am truly blessed.

8. I am grateful I’ve had a meal today. There are those that have nothing at all to eat. I am from East Africa. Right now, the worst drought in history is taking place in my hometown/country. I could have been one of them easily. My heart aches for them. I am truly blessed, for I have meals daily. May God almighty have mercy on them.

9. I am grateful for my car, I was driving the other day and saw people standing waiting for the bus. There’s nothing wrong with that except it was so cold and raining. In that moment realized, I am really blessed to be sitting in a my warm car.

10. I am grateful my lights are on. There were times when I couldn’t afford to pay the light bill, but today my lights are on and I am very grateful.

11. I am also grateful and blessed to have a job that lets me earn a living for my family.

It’s easy to focus on what you don’t have and overlook what you do have. No matter how much money or material things you possess, if you’re not grateful for the priceless things in your life, you will never be satisfied. Being grateful doesn’t mean you should only give thanks for when good things happen to you. It simply means being thankful that your not doing as bad as you thought. If you look around you there are many things that you should be thankful for.
For instance: if you are able to read this is, then your vision works well, so lets give thanks for that.

Look my friends, being grateful opens the door to new possibilities and things that you will be grateful for. But you must start now.
